  • All of the Ultimate Windows guide setup.
  • Hook for adding UWP (Gamepass) games to SteamOS.
  • SteamRomManager for adding emulator games to SteamOS interface.
  • SteamDeckTools for controller, OSD (Performance overlay), TDP, Refresh rate, etc.
  • Steam (Beta) client launch of startup for SteamOS interface.
  • I did notice better framerate stability but I will require more testing, I would like to test out LTSC but for now I am happy with my setup.

REVIOS VS ATLAS OS WINDOWS 10

I did run Windows 11 Pro before, and this one is based on Windows 10 there is not a lot of improvements that I can notice from naked eye.

    REVIOS VS ATLAS OS ISO

Used a custom iso here, ggOS, for pure gaming. I'd still be at risk if the people who made the OS somehow got their malware to stick on anything that isn't an SSD but I feel compared to many other users you might be turning away from custom OSes who looking around at the content on display there is a market for people to have videos and posts about downloading 15 different programs or files running a console window they dont understand as administrator in order to get a fraction of the latency reduction that just dual booting another OS will do and you would still be taking far less risk?

    REVIOS VS ATLAS OS INSTALL

Surely I could either as a partition on my drive or a second drive dual boot a custom windows OS and just not use it if I want to use the web browser or install anything - anything that might require secuity. is quite appealing even if you are willing and able to write a mega batch file to do a lot of it yourself.īut in that case "knowing what you are doing" is nothing? Because realistically how can 1 person create an effect anywhere near what these custom OSes are capable of - even testing disabling services could take FOREVER even with looking into what they do with technical knowledge - I am here looking at this post because that is just not feasible to me even though I could write a batch file to disable a few on each new windows install I would get maybe a tenth of the effect for many times the effort.

could I slowly over my time using windows find services and registry keys that impact performance over the years and make a batch file of those services that didn't SEEM to give me issues?Like even for someone who gets excited by the idea of optimising a system that seems an impossible amount of time commitment for 1 person.īasically I'm asking for an efficient DIY way to get 90% of the effect for 10% of the effort, I understand I won't be able to disable every animation or little feature windows adds but even just disabling more than the 5 XBOX services or anything you VERY clearly don't need will run you into issues very quickly because a lot of the things that are even easy to disable can screw up your system despite seeming unnessesary so the fact these custom versions of windows can bring you down to a quarter the amount of processes without many issues besides printers not working etc.
